Shipping Container Delivery

Container Stop will deliver any size container from Mt. Shasta to the Salton Sea. This means you won’t need to find someone to buy a container and then find another person to deliver it – we’ll do it all. It’s our job to provide customers with containers – whatever it takes to get the job done.

We’ll deliver a 10, 20 even 45-foot container almost anywhere. However, we don’t like surprises any more than you do, so there are some considerations to take into account before delivery can take place.

Shipping Container Delivery Considerations

Of course, if we’re delivering a 40-foot high cube container, you need to have 40 feet of space to put it. But there are a few other things to consider when having a container shipped, including:

  • Access Points
  • Height Clearance
  • Room to maneuver
  • Ground condition

Access Points
You may have plenty of room to place a container, but we need to be able to reach it. Is the entrance to your property wide enough for our truck and trailer? We perform site inspections when we can, either in person or through satellite images, but we don’t always have that luxury. Make sure obstructions are removed prior to delivery to expedite the process.
Height Clearance
Be aware of overhead objects, such as tree branches or power lines, that could be a cause of concern. Especially with high cube containers, we will need up to 15 feet of clearance. While tree branches are easy enough to deal with, power lines are a completely different matter.
Room to Maneuver
You may have room for the container itself, but is there enough space for us to move into place and unload the container. A 40-foot container needs an additional 75 feet of clearance for delivery. Don’t have that much room? There are steps we can take to complete the delivery if we are able to discuss a plan with you.
Ground Condition

If the ground is too sloped, we may not be able to safely unload or place the container. While we can place a container on a concrete slab, we aren’t able to unload on an elevated surface. You may need to hire a crane company for final placement.

We don’t like surprises any more than you do. The more information you can give us about your property, including entrance points and clearance, the better. We will do everything in our power to put your container where you want it and will work with you to make sure it happens.

Shipping Container Delivery Costs

There are a few factors to consider when it comes to delivery costs. While we deliver throughout California and neighboring states, we are located in Paso Robles, CA. Delivering a container across the state will cost more than delivering across the city. Additionally, there are additional costs if multiple trucks are needed to deliver multiple containers.

However, if we can fit multiple containers onto a single truck, the cost is the same as if we were delivering one container. So if you order two 20-foot containers, you won’t be charged for multiple deliveries. If we can fit it on one truck, you’ll only be charged for the one truck.

Where the container will be situated is another factor to consider. A container being dropped in the middle of the field will be different than a challenging delivery. In some cases, it just isn’t feasible for the truck to reach the final destination. For an additional charge, we have extra equipment to take the container the final distance.

Shipping containers are a great way to get additional storage space at your home or business, an office at a construction site, and even more living area. We deliver containers throughout California and beyond, including custom and rental containers. Need a container? Call us today and we’ll get it to you.
