FAQ

Looking for more information about our containers? Take a look at the following frequently asked questions for answers. Do you still have questions? Feel free to give us a call.

What length do shipping containers come in? Other dimensions?
Our most frequently requested sizes are 10, 20, or 40 feet. However, we can create custom lengths between 5 and 45 feet. Do you only have room for a 23-foot container? We’ll send you a 23-foot container.

All of our containers are eight feet wide and come in two heights: 8.5 feet (standard) and 9.5 feet (high cube). The width and height of our containers cannot be altered. With that in mind, interior dimensions will be slightly smaller, so take that into consideration.

Do you do any customizations?
Absolutely. That’s what sets us apart from many other shipping container companies. It’s our box, but your dream! Windows, doors, roll-up doors, interior walls, even interior and exterior electrical and plumbing. One of our customers is using a container as a rooftop bar!

Obviously, structural integrity must be considered. But if you can think it, we can build it. Our full-time welding department does amazing work and will turn your shipping container into whatever you need it to be.

How much are your shipping containers?
Shipping containers come in various sizes and conditions, so the price varies with the market and delivery, but always budget a few thousand dollars to get the ball rolling when purchasing. Don’t forget that container rental is also an option. For example, a 10-foot container with several patches, surface rust, dents, and dings will cost much less than a new 40-foot container. Before we can give you a price, we’ll need to know more about your needs. But no matter what you’re looking for, we have a container that fits the bill.
Are there additional delivery fees?
Delivery costs can also vary depending on distance and ease of unloading. A container that will be placed in the middle of a field to store irrigation equipment won’t need as much attention as placing a 23-footer behind a store with limited maneuverability.

Using a variety of resources, including information from the client, gives us a better idea of what we have to work with. However, the price won’t change if we deliver a 45-foot container or two 20-foot containers. In that case, it will be one truck, one fee.

What kind of condition are your shipping containers in?
There are several different grades of shipping containers. The highest quality containers have very minor damage, straight edges, and floors are in above average condition. Essentially one step down from brand new. From there, containers are graded on the amount of damage and priced accordingly.

However, all of our containers are wind and watertight and will “survive the same storm” as we like to say.

Site Prep
Your container will  need a level area to keep the doors working as easily as possible.  Footing that encourages drainage is best!  We will deliver your container on a tilt bed trailer.

The only thing we ask is to make sure we have the room to place the container. While you may have enough room in your backyard for a 20-foot container storage shed, is there enough room for our truck and trailer to maneuver the container into place, which could be an additional 40’-90’ ft depending if its a 20’ or 40’ we are delivering as well as 12-15 feet of width.

We won’t always be able to perform site checks, so the more information you have about your site, the better. Obstacles, such as fences, boulders, low-hanging trees, and the like need to be cleared before our arrival.

Do you rent containers?
Yes! Many of our customers are companies that use our containers to store holiday overstock or extra inventory, such as Target or Walmart. We also rent to homeowners or small businesses for long-term storage as well or custom-made containers for construction site offices.

For standard containers, 40-foot containers are $190 a month and 20-foot containers are $125 a month. Delivery fees are associated with these rentals as well, but think of the time – and gas – you’ll save by not having to go to a self-storage business miles away.

What are your areas of operation?
Our headquarters are based in Paso Robles, CA.  We have locations in Reedley & Roseville as well.  We deliver all over California and have sent shipping containers to Nevada and Arizona. But if you need a container in Oregon, New Mexico, or anywhere else in the United States, we’ll get you one.
