Agricultural Storage

Shipping Containers for Agricultural Storage

As old as America itself, agricultural professions keep the country fed, whether it’s through livestock or growing the crops we enjoy every day. As technologies improve, so do the way farms do business. However, it’s a decades-old idea that can help keep farming materials safe from the elements as well as offering new ways to grow plants.

The ability to protect your agricultural equipment will make maintenance easier, service and repair less frequent, and storage that much more secure. From brush hogs, threshers, tractors, and more, it’s important to keep your machinery out of the elements when not at work. Our shipping containers are 8-feet wide and up to 9 ½ feet tall (high cube), big enough for all but the largest equipment.

Our shipping containers have also been used as tack rooms, feed areas for cattle, and even storage for hay and other types of feed for livestock. An unadulterated shipping container provides a storage solution that can handle any storm mother nature will throw at it. But that’s just one aspect of using a shipping container as storage.

Fully Customizable

Shipping containers are becoming more visible on farms and other agricultural facilities because of their mobility, durability, and security. But the versatility of shipping containers also allows for other applications in the field. Or rather, the ability to forgo the field completely.

At Container Stop, we can outfit any shipping container to help with alternative modes of growing crops. With shipping containers up to 45 feet long and 9 1/2 feet tall, any number of crops can be growing within the container. We will outfit your container with the utilities you need to grow food in any condition.

Through hydroponics – the practice of growing plants in nutrient-rich water instead of the soil – your crops will be protected from all manners of weather. Specific LED lights for growing plants can be installed as well as watering/draining systems. We will outfit your shipping container with shelves so you’ll be able to grow several varieties of starts for later transplantation.

Food Storage
Many farm-fresh products need to be kept cold before reaching the marketplace. No matter what size of shipping container you need, we can turn it into a portable refrigerator. Just so long as you have the power to run it. We can also install misters to keep your produce fresh or turn the container into a vending station for sales.

Our shipping containers are also wind and weatherproof if you’re looking for dry storage. With the ability to add shelves, custom doors (personal and roll-up), and climate-control infrastructure, if you can dream it, we can build it. Think of the shipping container as a much sturdier greenhouse.
